A ROAD MAP TO SOUND TECHNOLOGY DECISIONS
A “Road Map” is a guide that shows us how to reach our destination. Technology Master Planning is a “Road Map” to technology solutions for your organization.
A Master Technology Plan will include standards, specifications, budgets and timelines to refresh or replace nonperforming technology. This Master Plan is based on your technology’s current state, then matches the long term business plan with a technology plan. As technology changes and evolves, this plan is intended to be viewed as a living document that is updated on a regular basis.
|
Technology Planning must also include the Business Continuity Plan and the Disaster Recovery Plan. Business Continuity Plans (BCP) are sometimes referred to as Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) and the two have much in common. However, a DRP should be oriented towards recovering after a disaster whereas a BCP shows how to continue doing business until recovery is accomplished. Both are very important and are often combined into a single document for convenience.
These two plans will also serve as a guide for the annual development of your organization’s technology budget.
The result: Our clients make technology decisions as part of a cohesive plan, ensuring harmony among valuable components and maximizing their return on investment.
